Wikipedia Goes Mobile
The Wikimedia Foundation has released a mobile version of the Wikipedia encyclopedia or Mobile Wikipedia at http://mobile.wikipedia.com .
Mobile Goes Multilingual
Wikipedia.org, the fourth most visited website on the Internet finally has a mobile, multilingual version of its regular website.
14 Languages
If you have ever tried to use the regular version of wikipedia.org you will appreciate the new interface optimized for mobile devices. Alas, of interest to translators is the fact that the site is only available in 14 languages instead of 265 as for the wikipedia.org proper.
Spoken Wikipedia
What will be interesting to see or rather hear is whether the anticipated spoken version of the site or Spoken Wikipedia will be available in more than just English. I’ll keep an eye out for you!
If you encounter other useful features of Wikipedia for translators and language enthusiasts, please share them in the comments!
